Remember it is not like job interview. The interviewer does not care to know what you can do professionally, but who you are and why you will succeed.

boolietuli, 40-50 percent interviewed, 60 percent accepted. You are always interviewed by alumni. Committee dates are confidential.

Johanna, according to your numbers >25% of applicants are accepted. But the published statistics is worse than that. Is it true?

bob, it varies from 20 to 25 percent.

Hi, very interesting experience to read from Page one to the final. But I did not see much info about school transferring.  Could you share some experince about that?  And how about going to Wharton for one semester, any down point, since I did not see it as a popular point at least in this post.

请问一下各位学长关于在Fonty/Singapore campus买教材的事情：

我已经在国内买到了基本推荐的pre-reading的英文影印版
但是对于多数需要在核心课程中用到的课本和阅读书目，你们都是在当地购买么？还是说学校的图书馆里面有足够的副本可以免费借阅？还是说有很方便的二手交易市场可以买卖？

我8月底马上入校。
有什么建议/指点么？ 多谢了！

INSEAD has been my dream school ever since I've got my bachelor degree in 2004, because I believe that INSEAD's unique environment and reputation is exactly what I am looking for.
 
However, I am concerning about my own background, if thinking about Jan 2010.
 
1) I am Hong Kong SAR citizen
2) I graduated in 2004 - University of Hawaii, GPA 2.9
3) I studied abroad from 1997 to 2004, total 7.5 years
4) GMAT 690.
5) I did my first job as a sales & marketing assistance manager (2 years), based in Dong Guan China in manufacturing field, in charge of American, European and Japanese market. 
6) I am currently working for a Japanese company (in HK) as a sales executive, in charge of Taiwan, Philippine, Vietnam and Cambodia market.  By the time I am admitted (Jan 2010, if I can), I will have total 4.5 years of w/e.
7) I will have my company president, who knows me very well, to write a recommandation letter for me. 
8) I speak fluent Mandarin, English, and proficient Japanese
 
Please kindly advise if my chance is high, and which area I should be focusing on in order to increase my possibility.

去学校书店买，或者买上一届的二手书。不要自己带过去了，每个老师用的制定教材不太一样的。你都不知道谁教呢。而且行李空间有限，留着放更重要的东西吧。

Hi nnm,

you mentioned earlier that it's not easy (or common) for Chinese graduates to find a consulting job in Europe, but there are plenty of  industry jobs. Could you specify what those jobs are? what kind of position are normally available for Chinese MBA graduates, who doesn't speak much French?
