第一题的结论的一个隐含条件是在同一时期的同一地点（that lived in the same area at the same time）的动物特征是差不多的，只有这个条件满足才能得出“同一时期同一地点生活着的11种动词无法相互区别开来”。C说“从来没有一个地方的化石能够支持同时生长的3种相似的动物”，即同一个地方出来的化石能够辨别的动物不会超过3种。这不是能够很好的支持结论成立所需要的条件了吗？
