刚刚为了考GMAT和申请MBA拒了一个好工作

在这里发个贴，以示哀悼1。5倍的工资和漂亮的title。

精力有限时间有限，换工作就表示彻底放弃GMAT。我不知道时间倒转我会不会后悔这样的选择。 也许对我来说，上Santa Clara的part time的program，尤其是周末的课程更为实际。 到美国也4年了，也该有个自己的窝了，房价终于跌了，买房子的投资和读MBA也差不多了， 说不定房子的投资回报率还更高些。可是我想再给自己一个机会，尝试申请一下top school。 很多东西的价值不能用钱来衡量的，至少人生的archivement不能。

此文写给自己写给所有追梦的朋友，大家同勉。

Yeah, if you really want a top MBA, then go chase it, just make sure you know what you will get and wish the best.

房价终于跌了，买房子的投资和读MBA也差不多了， 说不定房子的投资回报率还更高些。

It's interesting that house price is up/down sometimes, but the MBA tuition is never going down.

Maybe I should focus on MBA and spend some good time on it since now husband in CA and me in TX,

Job market is still pretty bad.  But if you have connections, jobs will look for you.

I don't know if I can get in HAAS part time weekend program.  Since I live in San Jose and traffic is horrible, it is impossible to go to school in week day nights.

Maybe I am getting old, I want to own something in my life.  That's why I want to buy a house.    House + husband + dog

My suggestion is, maybe you should reconsider that job offer if it is not too late.

As of Haas, you don't have to worry about the traffic problem, they have bus running from south bay to campus every day around 4:30pm. you can sit in there and do your networking off the bat.
if it is a part-time program, it is not much of the money, your company may give you at least 5000.00 for it. And student loan is at all time low right now. Did I mention for part-time student, you can put your tuition on tax form to save your tax money? plus your salary. you will be able to afford yourself, and well.

Santa Clarar U has good reputation in silicon valley, but it is tier-3 school after all. Haas or Anderson (weekend option) should be the primary target, I guess.

Anderson weekend program would be a good idea if it is close to the airport.  Will ask my friend in LA later.  tks la.

it is not close to airport, but not too far either, within 30 min driving in LA speed

they have bus from cuppotino to LA for 75.00 round trip, take off Friday afternoon, six hours, it is not too bad

I'd rather take flight on Saturday morning. Bus sick would kill me first...
