111. Some people prefer to spend time with one or two close friends. Others choose to spend time with a large number of friends. Compare the advantages of each choice. Which of these two ways of spending time do you prefer? Use specific reasons to support your answer.

Everybody has friends or desires friends in the pursuit of sharing emotions. Thus, many people enjoy spending most of their time with friends, while the others prefer staying alone. I believe that different people hold different opinions due to their distinct lifestyles and personality. As far as I am concern, I would prefer to spend most of my time alone for the next five years.

There is no doubt that one needs to spent time with friends, especially close friends. It is nice to have one or two close friends that have the same interest and enjoy spending time together. Most importantly are having friends that will always be there for you when you need them. However, good friends will always be there no matter where you are and how frequently you see each other.

On the other hand, I feel comfortable if I am alone. This is not because I don’t like friends, but because of my personal character, quiet and a bit shy. When I am with my friends, I always feel embarrassed, because I am a good listener I find it very hard to start up my own topics of conversation. I like to do things alone, I like to go shopping, go to movies and go swimming. I can do what I want to do without asking anybody. And the most important thing is I don’t feel lonely when I am alone.

Moreover, I need to have more time study studying and to prepare for my school applications. I just recently came to the US, and I have planned of my career for the next five year, which is a 2 year MBA program and 3 years to build up my reputation at work. My goal is get accept into a MBA program on by 2008. I am now very busy with all the school work such as TOEFL, GMAT, and school applications, and I believe that I will be even busier when I enrolled into the MBA program. Based on this, I do not have spare time to fool around with friends at least for the next five years.

To sum up, I prefer to spend most of my time alone for the next five years not only because I not good at getting along with friends, but causes I have to spend most of time studying and making my five year plan come true.
