Parents are the best teachers.

    In most case, parents are the first teachers of their children. Children learn speaking, walking, namely some basic skills from their parents, parents delight to educate their offspring as well. When it comes to whether or not, however, parents are the optimal teachers of his children, there always arouse a controversy. From my perspective, parents act as a crucial role in the education of children, nevertheless, they are far from being the best teachers of their children.

    Undoubtedly, adults have more extensive knowledge than their children. However, not all parents know how to educate children. After all, education is a serious knowledge. Without systematical study we can’t expect everyone can be an eligible teacher. For instance, teachers know when his students need encourage and when he should accept criticism. But as parent, it is very difficult to balance encourage and criticism. Since parents tend to extol his children more.

    Furthermore, the knowledge of one person is finite. This limitation keeps parents from being the best teachers. Some parents may good at English, and his children benefit from this, they can learn foreign language from his early age. Nevertheless, these parents may have less interests in math. This difference of preference may result in their children have imbalance development in their study.

    Another vital factor which we can not ignore is the knowledge itself is experiencing a fast development. In some case, parents’ knowledge is out-of-date. They are incompetent to teach his children. For example, currently computers have been a most part of our life. However, major parents have limit knowledge of computer. Even though in some case, children secure more computer skills than their parents. How can we expect children study from their parents?

    From what has been discussed above, we can safely draw a conclusion that parents are important initial teacher of children. But they are by no means the best teacher.

Without systematical educational knowledge we can’t expect everyone can be an eligible teacher. For instance, teachers have an accurate judgement to when his students need encourage and when they should accept criticism. But it is really difficulty for parents to deal with the balance between encourage and criticism, Since parents are easy to spoil their kids.
