我觉得是这样，doctor kim提出两点：
1）electronic monitors are more intrusive ... （positive）
2)  (but) electronic monitors do no more (than ordinary stethoscope) to improve the chances that a health baby will born. （negative）

但是看看doctor Anders怎么回答：Doctors now know the warning signs they need to listen for with stethoscopes, but only because of what was learned from using electronic monitors. 为了反驳doctor kim，他当然应该说2）不是negative的，但是事实上，他只是重复了1）的意思，丝毫没有提及2）

所以显然是：his response is inadequate because he : (A) misses the point at issue
