Usually, the school really cares about your highest GMAT score. The most important is your back-ground, essays, leadership experiences, fitness to school. Take another test when you are fully prepared.

You are over-worried. GMAT is only a small part of the whole application. B-school admits people with business sense, not people with high scores in test. GMAT is only a test to make sure you can successfully pass the two-year tough academic study.

Be easy and if you believe you can get better, just have another try.

GMAT is a big part in this game, especially when the other aspects of your package are average, or you want to secure scholarship. I strongly suggest you to retake and make a score of 720 or so. (well, beyond 720, the marginal effect of GMAT is not significant)

GMAT is a big part in this game, ----VERY TRUE, nothing can be MORE important than you GMAT score (especially for a chinese applicant).
well, beyond 720, the marginal effect of GMAT is not significant)-----NOT TRUE. There's a huge difference between a 720 and a 760 no matter where you wana apply (I am talking about decent MBA programs). When you make it above 760, the marginal benfit is more about the chance for a scholarhip rather than the admission.

don't worry about GMAT too much unless you want scholarship from top b-schools.

Most of the school only consider the highest one. So take one more time GMAT

I wonder why people always take Gmat scores in priority? Especially for our Chinese, this  cannot make us different. Just imaging, among the applicants with 700+ from China, if two choices left for you, you want to be high score or unique?

And about unique, I think every applicant can make it no matter your work experience, life experience, personality or interests. So be easy with the scores if not far away from 700, but put much much efforts to find out your unique shining point.

If "every applicant can/will make him/herself unique", it follows that we should put even more weight on the GMAT score: since it's much easier for you to impress the ADComs with a decent GMAT score than by those elusive "unique qualities".

you think your GMAT score reflects your real ability in academics
