可是如果bold的部分是如展颜讲的
怎么觉得C还是怪怪的呢

所以A错.   B的denies错

如果boldface部分是这样话，C就更错了。因为第一个部分明显只是一个事实，而不是a development that the argument predicts will have a certain outcome.

boldface应该是展颜说的那样。

其实，这题和OG紫皮的82题是一脉相承的。作者predict的都是However之后的内容。作者之所以要说前面一通废话，主要是为了表明自己的客观。这和我们中国人所用的“欲扬先抑”的手法是一个道理。

至于B选项，作者并没有去deny那个事实，而是acknowledge它，只是它并不能成为主导事件发生的根本原因。所以，however后面话锋一转，因为balabala，人们还是要用genetic engineering。

第一句确实是介绍一种development

the argument predicts will have a certain outcome应该是指however后面的内容

acknowledges a consideration that weighs against that prediction.    确实是和however后面的prediction相反

准备下次再prep一下，好好看看是不是这样
