1 the number of cups of flour required in the recipe is 250 percent of the number of cups of sugar

2 1.5 more cups of flour than cups of sugar  are required

  the number of cups of flour:250%X

  the ratio =250%X/X=2.5

2.the number of cups of sugar:X

  the number of cups of flour:X+1.5

  the ratio =(X+1.5)/X
