请教换专业对MBA申请是否有影响？

我以前是IT出身，本科，硕士，工作。现在想转到Finance，才想读MBA. 请问转换行业到与金融方向（例如，IB）是否会对申请有影响？降低录取可能？

It's unlikely to affect your chance if you can articulate your reasons for the switch convincingly and demonstrate your potential to succeed in the new field.  Good luck!

It's hard to let others tell you how you should describe your career goals. The most valuable part in application is to think hard and hard about your career goals. What are exactly you want from the bottom of your heart, not simply to change a function, but WHY you want to change and WHY you are so sure you will like the new function and stick to it after graduation as your long-term career. To be successful in certain area, passion and capability are two critical factors. You may focus on how to demonstrate your capability through your prior experience and your passion through your future plan at Wharton and also after Wharton.

Sure.  I did a quick search and at least three dozen admits for class of 2009 are from engineering.  I don't know what they intend to do after graduation but I'm sure they can get into almost anything, let it be finance or another new field.
