还是我来说吧。28%是05年的录取率，06年是22%，今年第一和第二轮总的录取率是13%。这是最准确的数字。

Hi Saphirelucky,

Glad to know that you are interested in knowing more about Yale. I was admitted to Yale SOM this year. Actually the SOM's acceptance rate for 2007 is only 12.6%, a lot lower than that of other top b-schools, which are genenally around 20%-25%. "SOM's accpetance rate is 28%, but the yield is only 37%" is for the year before last.

The name of the school is not the most important,the major you select in which school is more important.For example if you graduated from Yale engineering school, employers may more like to choose someone from UC-Berleley engineering school. Because Yale Engineering school is very weak.

Another example, University of Illions-Urbana-Champaign MBA general ranked only 28th(US news 2007), but the accounting is the No.1. Employers are very likely to hire a accounting major student from U of IL than many other top business schools.

Are you talking to me? It feels nice when being called "姐姐", hehe.

I am totally serious about the "12.6%" acceptance rate for Yale SOM this year. The Dean said this himself at the welcome weekend. He also said something like "if this (the 12.6%) does not hit the record low in Yale SOM's history, it is definitely the lowest acceptance rate for the last 10 years".

don't be proud of this historic low acceptance rate, next year there won't be so many rash applicants....

Liu Lei，不用再来这个帖子发贴了。如果一个客观陈述录取率的帖子，都会引来那么多废话，比如说到Yale的Engineering School和University of Illinois的accounting，说到Next year there won't be so many rash applicants，你觉得还有什么好说的，呵呵。我几乎不在CD上和别人辩论或者争吵，CD上各式各样的人都有，怎么说话的人都有，别人爱怎么评论Yale都可以。
