第二部分MBA项目Director(一个很干练的女教授,语速很快)介绍了CK的具体办学历史和招生要求等东东,有点枯燥。 1. You should check with the admissions office. CK states clearly the kind of scholarships on its brochure. I think the CK scholarship is a bit like the Rice University model. (Rice has no tuition but its alumni donates more and it is one of the richest school in the US). The tuition is 240,000 RMB. However, most people get scholarships and for many students the out of pocket money is 50,000 RMB or less. The students are expected to pay back the money three years after they graduate. However, it is likely to be on a voluntary basis. Implicitly, for students who have economic difficulties, CKGSB is probably going to extend the loan longer. For details, you should check with CK alumni. The first class graduated in 2004 but I am not sure if any of them got loans. Most of the loans started for students graduating last year. Essentially, the cashflow required is very small to get to CKGSB but CKGSB is confident that the students will be successful after they leave CKGSB and one way or another they will contribute back to the school. 2. Study is on a tight schedule but INSEAD is also in a one year program. The teaching works on a Module basis so it is quite intensive. Students will be doing cases, examples and give presentations. If your fail the classes then you have to retake them. It is rare but students who cannot complete the program will be asked to quit. 3.MBA is a general education, so it will have courses on OB, Management, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, etc. If you are interested more in IT, you can try to select a few elective courses in IT. People in different backgrounds can share their experiences in the classroom there did not appear to be any problems for IT people to communicate with others in different areas including I-banking and consulting. |
