32岁top 5 MBA毕业以后做什么？

要看你finance的经验是什么。如果是big 4+fc in mnc， 那么你就别愁了。如果是特定行业，如citi/hsbc/aig等的fc， 你也不用愁。怕的是一般企业的finance mgr， 又没有什么卖点，就不好说了。
但如果是这样，你更要读top mba，否则这样的背景不读书可能也找不到好工作。
所以不明白楼主在担心什么。另外， 强finance背景不能guanrantee你进top consulting。因为据我所知，mck/bcg看重的是思维方式，而不是经验。所以长期的finance工作可能限制你的思路。我算有很强的finance background, bcg没给我面试机会，mck给我但没通过case interview － 因为让finance的人讨论marketing strategy还是有点困难。国内industry/bank有很多高薪机会，包括10万usd以上的。如你有aig fc的经验，相信你可以进入所有中国外资保险公司当cfo了，而且薪水是你决定的， 而不全是市场决定的，因为你的aig fc经验＋中国背景＋top 5 mba是多数保险公司new york fc都不具备的，所以命运在你手上！

楼上说的真是让人心潮澎湃。。。

其实也就3-4岁的差距（MBA平均毕业年龄差不多28-9吧，35-6的大有人在），不要想得比天还大啦。公司不会因为这三岁而对你特别严格要求，但却可能察觉到你的忧心忡忡，并将其解释为不够自信，虽然你的担心不在能力上。

我的经验教训是：反正年纪只会越来越大，机会转瞬即逝，所以只要做了去读MBA的重大选择，就该尽快从瞻前顾后转为规划实施：先多多了解情况，调整期望值（LZ已经在做了，不过稍微有点纠枉过正，太悲观了），说服自己这是你想要的职业前途和生活方式，和家人协调好，然后就往前冲吧。

I think those are valid concerns but you need to wilden your research scope.  What paths others choose might not be a good fit for you.  A few suggestions:

1. Talk to professionals from those fields 5, 10, 15 years out.  See if you feel like there's "a light at the end of the tunnel."

2. Take some professional tests, go through some self-analysis and 360 degree feedback exercises, and think about what your strengths, weaknesses and interests are.  It might be easier to make a technical match (good fit for your skill/interests).

3. Have faith that your mindset will change and you'll see a lot of things differently in a year or two.  The exposure you will get at a top school will be very different than anything you experience now.

yes, lz's concern is well justified, mba is young people's game. because most mba employers expect you to have 3-5 years of work experience prior to mba, not more. but if your extra experience proves add value, though it is hard to prove that during the interview, then believe you will end up with something great.

I have the experience of not shortlisted for associate position in campus recruitment but later become 'hot cake' when I applied VP position in lateral hiring.
