List of questions:

1. essay和各种申请资料的准备各位都用了多长时间呢？时间分配比例是怎么样的呢？

2a. 对于工作中出现过的挫折和目前反思以前的工作经历时自已所犯的错误是如何描述的，或者说避免谈论吗，还是像找工作的时候一样，把曾经的错误和遗憾淡化，只说那些表面上是问题，实则对工作有利的事情？

2b. 工作背景不是很强（公司非知名500强或外企）如何弱化申请的劣势了？

2c.  申请前的工作经历，如果有很大的跳变，比如说从IT转到基金，会不会是admin对我的职业规划产生怀疑？导致负面影响很大；或者不如在现在领域一直做下去，等MBA毕业再转行，那条路更好一些

2d. How do HBS view people who are going to change career after MBA; (major in the post-MBA industry & certificate in the new industry)

2e. Heard that a) people need to acquire above 5 yrs W/E to apply HBS; b) HBS favors young eliets. Which is true? How to prepare for a 3-yr-W/E employee?

3a. 对于community service的阐述经验。我个人在大学时候参加的社团活动还比较多，但是工作后，因为孤身在海外工作的关系，比较少参加社团活动。除了在以前母校bbs上为学弟学妹提供就业信息（大部分是现在公司的宣传）或私人场合帮助一些校友在我所在国家开展工作之外，就没有其他别的community service了。听说hbs很关注community service，所以想参考参考大家的经验

3b. 对于在国内工作的人来说，如何增加community service等除G/T、W/E之外的经历？

3c. 本科的社会活动重要么？我本科CS，当时的社会活动不是很多，工作后的经历会不会弥补这方面的 Weakness？

4a. Are there any bias when HBS evaluates applicants?

4b. What is the policy in HBS for ruling out applicants. It is hard to believe that they have so much time and patience to read every essay of over thousand applicants. So, first cut by GMAT score? By GPA? Or by working company?

4c. Can you give some advice about how many schools to apply are appropriate? How many 2-Tier or 3-Tier schools did you consider as save-keeping when applying for HBS?

4d. Are these consultant agency really helpful. Somewhat I fear that those preparing all by themselves may be in a disadvantage if so many people ask these agencies for help. Did you also consult with these agencies?

4e. Could you some things about what is important when I apply for top 10 MBA? GMAT, fortune 500 work experience?

4f. Top 15 University in China, high GPA, high GMAT, F-500 W/E, however, fair iBT, below HBS requirement, what's the chance like? Is HBS rigid on TOEFL score?

5. 想问Alex，广告业3y的背景，长期希望成为branding professional, TOP10中哪几所B－School的特点适合这样的发展（HBS, Kellogge?）? 这个行业的背景在申请中的优势和劣势是什么？多谢啊。

6. 能否介绍一下consulting背景的申请HBS应该注意什么？(在local startup的firm和global firm都做过）另外top school graduate, low gpa, high gmat应该采取什么策略。还有就是HBS很重视achievement,能否举些具体的例子？

i am holding H-1B VISA. i want to apply for MBA or other economic master? If i can or need trasfer From H-1B to F-1?  can i take the MBA or economic master at the same time I work in US? some people told me i can take the part-time MBA. but it's difference from MBA. i wonder how can it affect my finding job in China?

1. Please check with the school AND an immigration lawyer regarding your visa questions.

2. There's no part-time MBA at HBS.

Would appreciate it if you could spend some time before the chat to research the information!
