答案是B。但是从逻辑关系上分析，我觉得应该是D
1．    就题干来看，是解释型题目，即mary的行为符合哪项原则。排除A,C,E：
A:违反原文，原文在谈剥夺动物生命，不是suffer pain
C：解释不了为什么Mary不拿狗做试验。即试验目的在不能解释不作试验的原因
E：也解释不了。试验本身就是不以处死动物生命为唯一目的，为什么在不是以处死动物生命为唯一目的的情况下还是不作试验？
2．    B,D的逻辑关系都与unless句型有关(except in cases=unless).根据钱用强书，
A unless B=   非A→B
not A unless B=   A→B
B的逻辑关系就是：
（如果）剥夺动物生命合理→该行为可以即刻帮助救护人与动物的生命
D的逻辑关系就是：
（如果）没有义务去搭救动物生命→该动物是不健康的（病了的或伤了的）
原文的逻辑关系是：
（因为）健康的动物＋会在试验中死亡→Mary不做该试验（＝不杀动物）
把原文的逻辑关系改成逆否命题，即是
Mary杀动物（做试验）→（要么）不会死亡
（要么）不是健康的动物
第二种解释就是D的逻辑关系，所以D应当是对的
而B是关于试验目的的解释：如果该行为不能即刻帮助救护人与动物的生命，剥夺动物生命就不合理。没有证据说明，Maey放弃进行的试验就不是以即刻帮助救护人与动物的生命为动机，所以同样不能解释。
我的结论是：关于目的的解释不能说明Mary的行为。本质上B,C,E都是同样的逻辑关系。

在试验中如果杀生可以即刻帮助救护人与动物的生命，那么杀生就是合理的
因为原文中杀狗均没有达到上述两个目的，所以，依照上述的逻辑，就是不要杀狗了。

D里面有一个问题，MARY本身不是 Practicing veterinarians ，那怎么能用 Practicing veterinarians 的标准来要求她呢，另，D中的逻辑应该也没有什么问题
