36、GWD29-40   应该是选B吧，我看了以前的讨论也是选B的.....难道是答案更新了？

Siege engines that is recovered from surrounds of Jerusalem areas are made from materials that is taken from local “Mastitade” trees which grows in arid area. However, dry arid areas have a higher radioactive-18 residue then less arid area. It is found that the radioactive 18 half life in the siege materials is not as high as current specimen. Hence it must be that the surrounding areas in the past was not as arid as the current condition.
(What is the assumption based on )

1) Romans always build their siege engines from the materials that is easily obtained in areas nearby.
2) That the mastitia trees used for siege engines have the same.. qualities as .. in the past (bits missing).

选项1好像是在重复材料的第一句话。。。既然结论中涉及过去与现在的比较，我觉得选项2比较好。

in option 2) the important information " the same.. qualities as .. in the past " is missing here, that's why can't fully confirm 1) or 2)

also, it is based on author's memory, it is may slightly different with what the real argument is. So I suggest pay attention to both 1) and 2)

18、有题说sea otter以某种海洋生物为食，这样就扼制了该种海洋生物数量大量增多造成的生态破坏。但是如果出现Oil spill则会减少sea otter的数量，那么生态又会被破坏，问削弱。应该是 Oil spill也会减少那种海洋生物的数量。

我觉得好像加强了。。。结论不是说出现oil spill会导致生态破坏吗？
