年过四十还要去开创全新的领域是不容易.但就我的情况来说, 读MBA后并不意味着一切从头开始, 只要stay with hi-tech, 技术背景仍可以用的上.

年龄是一回事，你的见解是另一回事。假如有人问你：XX产品的未来发展方向如何，在世界不同地区的差别（如美国，亚太），某企业（你业务领域的）的业务模式如何。你如果能自如的回答，估计你的前景不错。如果不能，建议还是别冒风险读FULL TIME MBA了。

MY FRIEND TOLD ME THAT WHEN IB HELD CAMPUS PRESENTATION, MFE ARE TREATED DIFFERENTLY FROM MBA. THAT'S WHAT I KNOW AND I CAN'T PROVIDE FURTHER COMMENTS

UCB MFE has very good placement. All those are on their web page.

Pros and Cons of MFE:

Pros: 

1: Shorter term (Only one year including intern).

2: Smaller investment.

3: Easier to adapt for people with engineering background.

4: Decent career placement and first-year compensation stats, and the trend is growing.  

Cons:

1: Limited to the financial industry.

2: Limited to quantitative jobs.

3: Life style may not change much. Still an engineer. May even still be coding.  

4: May have much bigger pressure and longer work hours to get the same pay as right now.

Overall I think it's not an option for me.
