C：that修饰对象有歧义，it的指代不够清楚（radio/telephone？），it has become改变了原文意思。

原文要表达的是M对radio性质的理解与radio事实上的性质不同，表达一个构想与事实的对比。

所以E很好，结构平行，意思也对，what it is一点都不多余，它刚好表达了“事实”这一意思，如同原文的it is…所表达的含义一样。precisely the opposite是插入语。

E唯一缺陷是conceive of sth to be.

1）E的惟一缺陷是conceive of sth to be. 应该是conceive of sth as sth. 或者conceive to be sth。

2）E选项其他方面是没有问题的： a tool for private conversation确实从语法和逻辑上讲都是telephone的同位语。what it is用的也没错，表示现在的情况，其后面的a tool做what it is的同位语，和前面的同位语a tool构成功能相同的同位语；

3）C的问题就多了。首先，it指代不清;其次，could这个词加的绝对没必要，为什么不用would也不用might，英文里面这些词是有实际含义的;再次，两个句子不平行，这个在此虽不是大问题，但也不完美。
