我觉得这里也很重要，说证据表明central Kenya的妇女的待遇和同时间欧洲妇女的待遇差不多，而对比之下的Ghana妇女还是权力比较多的。所以结合前一句Before colonialism, gender was more salient in central Kenya than it was in Ghana, although age was still crucial in determining authority.  Ghana地区妇女受到的殖民的影响更大~~

re totally agree with you on this.
The comparison is between Ghana and Kenyan. The gender factor is more significant in Euro, but the passage did not mention Greater land rights and greater involvement in trade and less dependent is the reason (in Euro).
