 My question is why answer C is not right. growing them naturally vs suppliers are growing seems paralleled.

I do not think answer C is correct since the sentence does not have a verb. If you join the other sentences, it still misses the verb.

And why the verb exceed can not be used as exceeds. The context does not have any time indicator. The sentence can be seen as a fact. therefore exceeds should be fine to use. The explaination exceeds has to be replaced by exceeded. why?

I chose c. I do not understand the explaination in the prep. it says " country as XXX as country", but in this question,

it is the base of countries, not simply countries.
