I had my undergraduate education in the US (top 30) majoring in Accounting and Info systems.GPA3.34 4+ years work experience in the Big 4 accounting firms. I took the GMAT twice, once in 2004:640. I took about 3 weeks and tried it again in 2006, but only got 600.... I didn't have the energy and drive to retake the exam and didn't see the point in doing so. Personally, I suppose that my interview probably helped me a lot in their decision making process. I answered all the questions with ease. I think in a face-to-face interview, one can feed off the interviewer's facial expression and body language; while in a telephone interview, there might be awkward moments when nobody speaks. I would suggest other applicants review all the essay questions, including those from the other schools. After all, from my experience of applying for MBAs, I think most schools want to know 1.Why MBA, why now? (although they didn't ask me this question at Ceibs) 2.Teamwork experience/Leadership 3.What you can contribute to the school and the community? Applicants should think really hard about those questions. |
