“Until this year, I estimate that perhaps 75% of international students found summer internships and perhaps 35% found full-time positions in the United States. But these are just estimates. Moreover, I expect these statistics to be lower this year because we have more international students this year (so a lower fraction will find internships or jobs). Most of the companies that recruit on campus at Carlson are large U.S. companies with operations all over the United States and the world. Unfortunately, for most companies, the non-US hiring takes place in their local offices in the relevant countries. On-campus recruiters are typically not able to interview international students for positions in their home country (though some will sometimes be able to provide contacts in a home country for an international student to contact). I don't have your resume in front of me so I don't know how much full-time work experience you have, but having 2-5 years of full-time work experience after completing one's undergraduate degree really helps with placement in the United States. Otherwise, you need to decide if our degree is a good fit for you based on the placement opportunities in China, not in the United States.” 1。HR service itself is considered a general profession, so for international students, there's a very slight chance that you would get hired in a city where most companies are localized rather than globalized 2。for a general profession, even though your employers like you, they will not be able to sponsor your work visa, in order to acquire a work visa, the kind of work you do has to be "international" in some way or other that ties to your international background and MN has more of a demand for domestic services than international services, therefore, companies would much prefer a local employee than an international one. 发生了这段对话之后,我便email给UMN和Rutgers询问相关信息,于是就最上面的那段回应。。。 " I would say that in both schools there are challenges in finding employment for international students. This is based on employer’s reluctance to sponsor, not so much that there aren’t positions. I would say that given Rutger’s location, we are at a distinct advantage in attracting the top Fortune 100 Corporations. We are 30 mile west of NYC and 60 miles north of Phila." 这是Rutgers给我的回应... “All of our students, including international students, have been able to find employment before or after graduating. I can have a student contact you to share their experience with the process of finding an HR job. We have a great network of students, faculty, and alumni. Typically, we receive phone calls and emails almost on a daily basis for job openings. Therefore, employment hasn’t been a concern for our graduates. In regards to your question on class size, the typical class size is 12 students.”
