Cong! Maryland has a very strong program and excellent placement records for Chinese students! I remember one past graduate went to Minnesota and another went to UCLA!
10 years ago, there is trend for science ppl to go to the B school. For example, an Jun has a phd in physics in NYU. Nowadays, I dont see any advantage for applicants with physics background. Most offers are from ppl with econ and applied math. But there are still a lot of ppl with scientific background go to the wall street directly after their phd.
