good qualities of a good parent

Parent is our friend, our tutor. They should have various kinds of good qualities, such sympathetic, considerate, responsible, reliable, helpful, and so forth. Among these I will figure out the most essential three of them to discuss.

 

Firstly, a good parent must be considerate to his or her own child. Children need love from their parents, and this love is shown during daily lives. For instance, after playing football, a glass of ice-cool soft drink from a parent is the best reassurance for a child. When a child falls ill, parent's accompaniment would be a perfect therapy. When a child feels tired, parent's hug will make a child totally relaxed.

 

Secondly, reliable, both materially and spiritually, is another good quality that a parent should bare. As for me, though I would like to be independent, I cannot stand on my feet for the reason that I am a student and have no stable job to supply myself. So I rely on my parents financially, but what means more to me is the spiritual comfort I got from my parents. Also a reliable parent gives child the sense that he could try everything in his life, and if he failed, he could fall back on his parent. And often a man might accomplish a great achievement, because he has no burden.

 

Thirdly, the last but not least quality I would like to mention is that a good parent should be helpful. Children are young people, and they lack of social experiences because they had only touch the society for comparatively short time. So there is no doubt that they will encounter this or that kind of trouble, which they were not able to handle by themselves. At this crucial juncture, a hand from parents will save them from being beat and frustrated.

 

Although many other good qualities could be listed, I deem that considerate, reliable, and helpful weigh much heavier than any other qualities during a child's growth. A parent, who bares these qualities, could promise his or her child a peaceful and joyful life.
