答案A 个人认为和D（正确答案）说得是一个意思啊      都是说的对DNA知识的理解对于药物选择有帮助啊

I think the answer is A because D includes a word "essential". "essential" means very important which is different from "needed". For example, provided W is needed for H, if H is true, W has to be true even if W is not essential for H.
