mind if I ask which round did u apply? I m in at r2.  In the admission letter, they say that the finanancial assistance

package would be avaiblabe in a week.  How did u get the tuition waiver infor?

谁给你钱多去那里，证明学校对你好。两个学校差不多，不过可能气候DUKE好点，另外学校的排名（不是MBA排名）DUKE高点。

if u got duke with such generous scholarship this means that u can aim even higher for top 5. r  u waiting foor other top schools?

太多钱了,基本可以弥补两个学校之间的差异. 而且即使遇到economy downturn, 压力也会小很多。 duke 吧。

jpwy2004，不知道你说duke rank高的数据在哪里。Michigan作为一所综合性的大学来说，排名在全美是非常靠前的。众所周知b-school在Michigan算是排名靠后的了。Michigan的engineering school，law school，music school，medical school排名非常top，其中很多专业都是数一数二的。

我并不想用排名来比较两所学校，不过必须指出事实撒。

对于选校，其实更多的是fit，和个人喜欢。收到offer之后，每个学校应该都有group可以讨论，多问问你关心的问题，包括career的数据，学校的风气和偏重，recruiter，二年级和校友对一年纪的帮助和互动，club，学校组织的活动，career center，等等。生活方面也很重要，学校的活动，娱乐，学生的参与程度，教授......了解到后来，你会很自然知道哪个学校比较适合你的。

jpwy2004 is talking about undergraduate or general ranking. I know you are a big UM fan, but realistically,  Duke (as a top-notch private school) is not in the same level with UM ( a Huge public school). Go to library and get any college guide book and look at the statistics from both schools (SAT, AP, Selectivity, endownment, etc), you will understand what I mean. Duke, together with Brown, is long known as a "rich-kids" national school where lots of "rich" people send their kids there. Overall, it is more prestigious than UM in US.
