请教：duke没有去面试被放waitinglist上了，怎么继续？

当初觉得duke即使给我奖学金，也会是象征性的，不可能多，不想背负这么大的债务压力，所以没有去面试。
现在想到要在一堆鸡肋的offer中选择，不如选择去duke算了（如果人家要我），所以还想去面试。
如果面试官问我，为什么当初没有选择来面试，我怎么回答呢？会不会让人觉得commitment不够？

If you have had an interview chance before and you didnt hold on to it, it is hard to justify it now.

Tell Duke that you were on a business trip outside the country, so could not make the interview. And then tell them how you love Duke and ask them whether it is possible to have another chance to interview. Not pretty, but Duke will understand

我arrange的时候就剩2月22号了，我就说那天有一门考试半期考。可以么？

Tell Duke that you will have to make a long business trip to Mars and ask them whether it is possible to have the interview in advance

Fuqua is very concerned about its yield, one factor that will help its rank. One way to improve this number is to offer admission mostly to those who have demonstrated enough interest (by investment of money and effort through an on-campus interview), seen what Fuqua is about and convinced of Fuqua's advantages.
 
Find some convincing excuses and show your interest by arranging an interview -- the deadline for R2 interview probably has passed, but you can talk to the admission office to see if you have any chance to make up.

还是感谢duke给我了最后一次反悔的机会，不过奖学金机会就估计不可能再有了。
因为这个错误的决定，丧失的有可能是几万美金。
强烈建议以后的申请者一定不要在申请的时候犹豫，等到决定offer的时候再来做最后决定。

恭喜,你终于学到了点教训. OFFER还没拿到的时候, 谈什么去不去啊. DUKE的奖学金一般是两年共20000多点. 不是很多.可是,MBA就是个教育投资, 你多交点学费去个好学校, 毕业出来的时候的奖金就够你还一笔债的了. 眼光要放大点, 远点, 才能做好MBA. 跟你举个例子:

Case 1: Duke MBA, tuition ($80K in 2 years), say you get $20K sholarship in 2 years, then you need to pay $60K tuition from making loans. But you may earn $100K at graduation with $20K sign on bonus.

Case 2: top-30 MBA, tuition $60K in 2 years, and you got a full scholarship. but at graduation, you can get a job of $60K with $5000 sign on bonus.

which one do you want to take? needless to say how the reputation of the school and the network with your MBA classmates may help you in the future.
