MIT Bro, u should be more aggressive For example, for 4 months u got no reply from the school u applied, If I was u, I will make sure their phone ring all the time I won't just call twice and left 1 message. Normally I call until I get result. Sometimes 2 or 3 dozen calls at a night till get a clear answer Otherwise they won't believe u r mean and serious.

Agree!

when nego with pearson for challenging my g score, i contacted all hot-lines and mail-address that i reached within 1 month. Off course, first reply from Indian staff of call-center is that no one could tell you details for your test… after day and day complaining mails & calls, i got clear picture of process within pearson global and push gmat-coordinator team based to offer me a free re-take voucher with revoking my 5xx on so-called “official report”. then i retook it, got 730 with official report issued with AWA score in only one working day. i am sure pearson did care for my case

some other famous person on cd also could re-nego for 2nd interview from a top-10 school

sometimes be more aggressive in push and careful in challenging letters do make difference.

my small tips:

1. get as clear picture as possible of an organization: report line / schedule/ responsibilities… then push right person in right way

2. negotiate rather than argue. so soft is power, be sincere in words, a famous chinese word do weighs 事不
3. try to think for acdoms: they should face thousands of resumes in very limited time, mistakes or delays can not be avoided even for professionals whether they could stop to view your case depends on your communication

Hope it helps!

Good Luck!

to LZ,

as to what reflects from your mail content(just from your mail readers' angle of view ):

generally "general manager of a MNC company" is sure very big title at the first glance, even though many of us know that there are many kinds of such general mangers. For example, just a localized branch mananger of a MNC might be such, though it has the least possibility.

However, I guess that the company under your controll might have less than 100 employees(I'm just saying that it is small enough compared with the MNC general manager title) since you are still in pursuit of a so called MBA education(that means your duty and responsibility are easy to be discarded), and since you managed to sort it into top 5000? company.

therefore, to say so(general manager of an MNC) is aggressive enough but somehow not so professional and not so impressive to the admission veteran.

so maybe , just maybe , it's the reason they back your mail in such a halfhearted manner.

I'm not commenting on the rejection to your application.

(BTW: I'm in the same situation as you, except that I am an owner of small private company that only employs 47 people.(I should say it is really very profitable when compared with any salary earner position I can get),so when I did my application essays I really thought many things over.the company is so small that I even left the "general manager" 's title away both in my essay and my resume" in one version of my application package)

and at last sorry for any offence that derives from unawareness problem in the sentences above.

Mmmm, let me try to catch your meaning:

I should not use the title of General Manager of MNC anywhere, According to your analysis, I am actually nobody but trying to mislead others. Even a much more successful people like you didn’t mention your title in the application. This fact has proved that I am not professional.

Am I right? If my understanding is wrong, please let me know

First of all, thank you for your concern. However, the director knew who I am since he had my resume in hand. It is impossible to mislead him.

I didn't say my company is a large MNC like Microsoft or Sony, but it is a MNC, and I am the GM title. I am sorry if I have caused misunderstanding here.

Anyway, it is not the point. The point is why they treated my application like that and what I should do.

Now the director has sent an E-mail to apologize and tried to promote the one year Executive program to me. It is a full time program. Anybody here could give me some suggestions?
