美国商学院的管理学博士就业真的好吗？为什么申请这么难？

关于管理类的offer，大多数都在美国人的手上。据我所知，top schools的offers集中在少部分人的手上，而这些人基本上己经做出了决定，该decline的都declined了。那些top但不是h/s/w极有可能在发waiting list的offers。另外，因为hbs不会在march 9th之前发完offers (this is its internal deadline for all divisions)，这些人还在等hbs的消息。hbs的ob已经发了，其中一个拿到offer是中国mm，本科和研究生都是harvard的。

我所知发了offer和正在面试的学校 (ob, hr, strategy and ot)：

offer: hbs, stanford, wharton, mit, berkeley, kellogg, chicago, umich, duke, cornell, cmu, unc, austin, florida, kentucky

interivew: emory (yesterday and today; ongoing), psu

你说的Cornell是business school发的还是ILR school发的？什么项目？

Johnson OB program. They gave offers out around Feb. 12, and the admitted students visited campus last weekend.

Sorry, I have no idea about TOM. You should expect a rj if you are not in touch by March 9th.

从录取比例而言，我觉得经济学的竞争也很厉害的。我们学校今年收到经济学申请310份，一般也就录取10个吧。

industry对金融博士的需求量大吗？

The supply of accounting Ph.D. is much smaller than that of Finance PhD.
It should be easy for a Finance PhD to get a job in industry. The salary is good too.

The situation in our b-school is similar. Economics is the biggest PHD producer, followed by finance. Marketing, Accounting, and Management admit 1-4 phd students each year. It's said that it's easiest for accounting graduates to find jobs and their starting salary is the highest..
