3.extent(N.):

想问一下，12题中extending在这里是做动名词还是分词？也就是说，regard..as..这种结构中，as后面可不可以跟分词短语？

关键是upward:upward作形容词时，必须前置，longman上定义的。

这里的意思就是没有真正的高度范围.


然而extent就是范围的意思.所以这里不能选extent: 这个不是生动不生动的问题了,就是后面没划线部分的意思决定了要用动名词extend


特别是里面的no ........recognized as a boundary: no boundary, 这里是分号分开, 前后前面半句话绝对不能是regard as the extent.


除非前后两句是转折关系,这个extending就没有这么铁定正确咯


还请指教......看看理解的正确否?
