sometimes, most fresh phd graduate students are in the same level in publication. So the reputation of your program and your advisor are very important. Origin is very crucial in academic.
Yale and cornell have small but pretty strong faculty. Yale is strong in behavior (a great modeling prof of Yale died 2005/2006?). Cornell has Rao and some new guys, strong in Modeling. I think International Business is NOT among the core areas...If you want to find a position in US upon graduation, then Yale/Cornell are better.If your target is Asian, I guess they are no much difference.
I agree with bobwangwb, if you plan to work at a US institution, Ivy League schools are better. If you are thinking about Europe or Asia, INSEAD will certainly be great.
1. It is non sense to compare two schools here, if you do not hold two offers in hand now. 2. Some schools will give you some advantange when you are looking for faculty position. I believe INSEAD and Cornell or Yale are in the same tier. It has little sense to rank them.... 3. Personally, I think going to a top US school is a better idea.
ProfCPA, I was interivewed by INSEAD at the end of the week (last week).... It *SEEMED* that they were giving me a tentative offer. They said that they would let me know the final decision this week......
The interview questions were the usual. They spent a lot of time telling me how great their school is too...
ProfCPA and kndx5, thanks for your kind words. Again, I have not received the official letter yet. Anything can still happen. I am still quite anxious about the US schools that I've applied to.
kndx5, INSEAD's Chinese grads always go to Hongkong? Hongkong's summer is too hot for me... (although the food is great)
