以下是引用bettywushh在2007-2-18 17:52:00的发言:This school ranks 82 in USNews, I don't know where you get the data of 51.It is a third tier school so I don't think its ranking is that high. It is all up to you to decide whether you would like to go there or not. I have got full scholarships from other schools that rank much higher, and Pepperdine is out of my scope. If you feel comfortable to go, then just go. You will enjoy your two years' study there with the beautiful beach and campus. That was just my impression about Pepperdine, different people have different views. I am not going to ask you to go or not. It is wholly up to you. If you can get admission to top 10, just go. Otherwise, you will find factors other than ranking more important in pursuing your career goals: locations, employment opportunities, networks, specialties, local rankings (recognitions) ... ... , and of course, scholarship! Most recent Wall Street Journal ranking lists Pepperdine among top 50s. Rankings differs in different industries, but WSJ at least reflects Pepperdine's rank in financial industry in the US. I would say, compared with any school in the middle area of US with ranking after 20th, you won't regret choosing  epperdine. Employment opportunity in LA/west coast/east coast is much higher than in the middle. And, internship (most of the time, a prelude to a formal job offer) opportunities are ample in LA area. Don't forget the purpose of your MBA study..................................................to find a decent job..................................................... and of course, to take the people you love and who loves you to enjoy the beach, leisure, and life ...
