不管是不是自己的原因造成的造成的不良后果,如果都能借此机会review yourself and find whatever points to be improved, you will be the one to learn, hence, to win.

I was also dinged by w, but it was fair, cuz i spent only one day to modify my essays from H essays. in addition, my verbal was less than 70%.

It is fair at least for me.

其实可以理解各位没有拿到interview invitaion的兄弟姐妹们郁闷的心情。退一步说，拿到invitation的人中也有相当一部分会在不久的将来收到同样令人伤心但还不至于绝望的ding信，区别所在只是时间的先后而已（我也从未怀疑过自己被wharton顶掉的可能性）。

我也相信wharton（应该说包括每一个business school)在做出admission decision时，都可能会有失误，从而丧失了招收到一位甚至数位优秀人才的机会。但这样的错误恐怕在座的各位在一生中都同样难以避免。很遗憾，但也无可奈何。

但同时我觉得如果大家以完全否定的态度来看待一个学校的招生过程，乃至进一步断定收到interview invitation or admitted offer的申请者完全是凭运气走到这一步，甚至认为录取这些人是some stupid judgements，我个人认为未免失之偏颇。每个人在申请的过程中都已经付出了自己最大的努力，得到一个学校的承认有多个方面，背景，分数，对自身认识的深刻挖掘，当然还有闪光的好运气。但如果失去了前面三样坚实基础，单靠运气有谁又能走到今天这一步呢？

战友们，这个话题能否就到此结束啊？实在不想在新年里让这充满火药味的辩论继续下去。如果大家有闲且有心的话，陪陪家人，放松一下等待下一次的挑战会不会更有意义呢？申请毕竟只是生活的一部分，短暂的失败并不会否定你未来伟大的胜利，平常心看待吧。

Hi, buddy, I guess you have misunderstood some of those who were dinged by Wharton. 

Well, as for me, I never said luck will decide everything.  As we have all agreed, luck says sth but not the decisive factor.  I totally agree with you that numerous factors contribute to a final success.  You have explained a lot.  So, I won't trouble to do it any more. 

"You're lucky" or "you're a lucky dog" is very very common expression in English, implying that you guys survived in a nerve-breaking competition.  All the applicants are all very excellent and you guys who got the admission are more excellent and luckier.  That's what I was trying to say.  I'm sorry this seems to have made you unhappy. 

You're great, without doubt coz you got the invitiation from Wharton.  Those how were dinged by Wharton are great, too.  Hopefully, such words can make some buddies here more comfortable.....hehehe........ 

In passing, congratualtions on having interview with Wharton.   Again, you're lucky, buddy!

很同意。其实大家申请的时候不会想那么多，将来开始读了，会有一种感觉，如果没有方向会迷失方向。5年，10年后回过头看看，也许除了薪水涨了以外，收获并不大。所以想清楚自己想要什么，然后MBA帮你实现这个理想，你会觉得更值得花两年时间，精力，金钱来读一个MBA。
