Dinged without an interview as well.

Male / MA in US with honor roll GPA /G 700 / 9 yrs WE in Telecom / funding a sccessful business 2 yrs ago.

Can't figure out why dinged without an interview.........(but i like the one that they don;t think I need an MBA)

After seeing other's posting, I knew that I am not alone.

But move on.....life can be also good without an MBA

Yellowmellow, be humble and watch your words. I do not think you have the right to regard others as losers. Many people here are hard working and successful. They have different opinions about Wharton admission, but it does not mean they hate or envy those who got interviewed. If you really think others are losers, you really suck.

Yeah, by all means, I respect Wharton and Mr. Thomas's decision. But to be frank, I do believe they made some stupid judgements in MBA recruitment this year especially in China.

其实可以理解各位没有拿到interview invitaion的兄弟姐妹们郁闷的心情。退一步说，拿到invitation的人中也有相当一部分会在不久的将来收到同样令人伤心但还不至于绝望的ding信，区别所在只是时间的先后而已（我也从未怀疑过自己被wharton顶掉的可能性）。

我也相信wharton（应该说包括每一个business school)在做出admission decision时，都可能会有失误，从而丧失了招收到一位甚至数位优秀人才的机会。但这样的错误恐怕在座的各位在一生中都同样难以避免。很遗憾，但也无可奈何。

但同时我觉得如果大家以完全否定的态度来看待一个学校的招生过程，乃至进一步断定收到interview invitation or admitted offer的申请者完全是凭运气走到这一步，甚至认为录取这些人是some stupid judgements，我个人认为未免失之偏颇。每个人在申请的过程中都已经付出了自己最大的努力，得到一个学校的承认有多个方面，背景，分数，对自身认识的深刻挖掘，当然还有闪光的好运气。但如果失去了前面三样坚实基础，单靠运气有谁又能走到今天这一步呢？

战友们，这个话题能否就到此结束啊？实在不想在新年里让这充满火药味的辩论继续下去。如果大家有闲且有心的话，陪陪家人，放松一下等待下一次的挑战会不会更有意义呢？申请毕竟只是生活的一部分，短暂的失败并不会否定你未来伟大的胜利，平常心看待吧。
