【诚心请教】:在英特尔工作2年可以去读MBA嘛?

for my opinion, you are too young, and good in math.  even you want to switch your job, you can try the mater of finance, not MBA.

MBA prepare for those who have more business background.  But this does not mean only MBA can earn more money. You need find a way that most fits you. 

Thanks a lot Xinxin for the great input. so if i say i can climb up to a manager level position in future in intel, do you think that's the right time i should apply MBA? or can i say i will have very positive chance to get into top mba? thanks

Do you have good experience that will help demonstrate your leadership potential and exceptional soft skills?  Can you articulate a clear career vision and explain why you need a MBA and why this is a good time?  I would recommend putting together a draft of the essays for your dream school.  If you can come up with convincing stories for each question, you are probably ready.

我也有点同感,其实搞包装在那个公司也不是重点,不过其实我现在很多时候都是在做PROJECT MANAGMENT,包装设计基本都是外包给其他公司,我们做的主要是从一个新产品出来之后的包装管理,里面还要包括在运输,物流系统上的优化。我其实完全不是做技术性质的,就算以后在INTEL做下去,项目管理能力才是我的重点,感觉MBA可以帮助我以后提高到管理层(自己认为是这样)

每个公司都有核心竞争力的, INTEL的是芯片技术, 所以积累的经验不是太有价值. 如果你在业届第一的包装专业公司,那么是不错的经验. 还有你是搞芯片封装, 还是外面的运输纸箱包装呢? 如果是后者, 那和INTEL的牌子更没关系.

你可以尝试下是否对supply chain感兴趣. 比较符合你的工作和学术背景.

老实说觉得别说TOP10,即使申请国内的中欧,长江希望也不大.

AMD新加坡只是工厂, 不是什么好地方. AMD的R&D上海薪水也很一般, 做技术15000基本到头了

不是在工廠作的職位,不過我也覺得不是甚麼特別好的工作,所以放棄也就放棄了...

上海的我就不知道了,不過15k有點少把,去其他很一般的公司也差不多這個價了....

i don't think this is a good recommendation. Intel is a great company, and if you can demonstrate how outstanding you are and what achievement you have in 2-3 years, then you have the chance to get into top 10, which is recommended by Yaoyao.

We can occasionally find people with 2-3 years experience in MNC who are admitted by M7. If you have 10 years experience, then it's more difficult to get into such schools. Therefore, being young is an advantage, if you are young and outstanding.

If you are admitted by Stanford, you might be one of the very few students that can attract interest from top tier VCs in Silicon Valley, e.g. Mayfield. One of the VC star Deng Feng, a Wharton MBA, founding partner of Northern light VC, used to work in Intel as well.

People care more about your company brand, which include culture, and commercial best practice. So I disagree with '每个公司都有核心竞争力的, INTEL的是芯片技术, 所以积累的经验不是太有价值'.

However, it appears that you are not very confident. If the reason is that you are really not a star in Intel China, then your chance to top schools will be limited.

don't talk about future with uncertainty. How can you say you can climb up to a mgr level or positive chance to get into top MBA? that's an imagination, and can't prove anything except that you have a dream. It has nothing to do with your capability and achievement since even the worst staff can say that he might be a mgr in the future.
