说点我的看法吧：

1.不记得曾经在哪看过一个NN写的总结了，好像是说with短语位于句中或句尾，其逻辑主语可能是句子主语，也可能是就近修饰的名词。那么E中with number...有修饰extinction的歧义；

2.如果with短语修饰The gyrfalcon，那么正如F大侠的笔记中所说，numbers前面要加its.

不一定正确，还请路过的NN说说。

我想问一下，就像四楼那个OG官方的解释的，with为什么错误地修饰了The gyrfalcon，with不是本来就应该修饰The gyrfalcon的吗？

E extinction, now with numbers five times greater than
OG是说the phrase(with......) confusingly seems to parallel with extinction,with 本应该修饰The gyrfalcon，但是这样的phrase会让人误以为是与extinction平行，也就是误以为在修饰extinction。不知道明白否？
