Thanks. But I have to feed my parents...I do not only live for myself. I don't want to spend years just to pay back loans. I want an easier life, not working six and a half days a week, 15 hours a day. My company is a well respected company, one of the top 10 F500 companies. But many employees, either in US or China, do not have decent degrees from so much TOP schools. We don't evluate the background, we focus more on performance. I totally agree with what you said, but I have seen so many people from the top schools with just plain performance but people from not so good schools with top performance.

I talked to Americans and they could not understand why Chinese care so much aboutthe status and face. Americans rarely care about the rankings, it is what fit you the most. To me, a good school with nice scholarship fits me the most. I never have a strong desire to get into a top school. I know you are all good to me to provide such nice advise. But that is not what I want the most.

但是这个评论我有几句要说明的给将来看这个帖子的朋友们参考，我们完全没有办法同美国人相比，在这个方面。他们的确不用太担心学校的排名。 我们周围很多美国同学，都很快找到工作，甚至就算毕业时候没工作，他们也可以慢慢找。他们还有从前工作过的公司，人脉可以利用。

国际学生不同。第一是语言，这个就不说了。第二个，也是非常重要的一点，就是H1B的问题。我相信多数申请美国MBA的同学们，还是希望能够在美国锻炼一段时间，工作一段时间，再考虑什么时候回国工作。现在H1B的形式是如果毕业之前没找到工作，用OPT，然后再找，再排队H1B的话，会很麻烦。这里就不去考虑‘大不了就回国’这样的话。

一个好些的学校，一个名校，最大的好处就是机会多，校友多。校园面试的公司多。这几点就足够让中国的申请人努力奔名校。而不可能象美国人那样逍遥自在。TOP的学校，就是给提供一个更大更宽的平台。至于开始工作以后，那是另外一回事了。

无论您作什么选择，去哪个学校，一样祝福您！

关于vander， 我加几句

我前几天遇到一个在DC做healthcare consulting方面的american， 他觉得Vander 很好。 如果你以后还是做health－related industry的工作，vander 还是不错的。

不同的杂志有不同的排名。有时波动很大。 我有见过us 的一家比较大的申请咨询公司自己的排名，我感觉更符合一般applicant中的排名。
从他们的角度来看， HBS, wharton. standford 仍然时最好的3个学校。 Vander 也肯定在top30 里面。

如果不是地点或特殊的recruiter，比起你所考虑的其它学校，  vander肯定是最好的
