这句话的逻辑我怎么也看不懂啊, 既然没有发现trade good就说明不在1620左右啊,但是为什么 no later than不晚于1630年呢??这很矛盾啊

在1620‘s开始的，因此不晚于1630 吧，使这么理解吗？

觉得2楼说的有点道理，不过感觉还是不对，看不出这句话里面包含的逻辑关系，汗，等待NN的回复

我大概看出了点头绪：首先从1620年开始European traders were active in the region from the 1620's onward，就是说欧洲贸易商人从1620年代开始就在那一区域活跃，但是在那些地区没有发现European trade goods，注意是trade goods，贸易物资没有发现，而camp作为营地本来就是暂时的休息场所，所以这些camp应该是European traders留下的，而European traders从1620年代开始活跃在那一地区，因此这个营地应该在1630年以前留下。

这样理解对不对不知道，请NN指点迷津！

我之前看过个帖子,有这句原话,但因为回忆不起这个题的相关信息,找不到那个链接了.

我印象很深刻的是一个斑竹直接说了句:1620年活跃,不一定就会立刻影响到那个营地,所以没矛盾.

如果变成"不早于"1630, 我觉得才能讲的通.不晚于真的很矛盾啊!

我怎么觉得，这段话要表达的意思是，这个营地不是欧洲商人留下的，因为在那里没有发现任何的商品，而贸易是从16世纪20年代开始的（有可能是1629年开始），所以说这个营地建立的时间应该是在贸易出现之前，也就是最晚不迟于1630年。有点牵强，可是从字面看是这个意思。有没有上下文？
