Speaking
 

1 while choosing a restaurant or cafe, what are the most important features you look for

2 is it better for cities to encourage preservation of old buildings or build new ones

3 proposal for a sigh-up sheet to reserve for the computer. more convenient, reduce nosiy

 woman doesn't agree. Limited time, less convenient, has to stop in the middle of work. more argument on who should use the computer.

4something about advertising takes advantage of people's desire for affiliation

5 the girl's editor of the students newpaper. the one writes the movie review, Jeff, is gonna graudate. he's very popular. two solution. first one: look for replacement. second: use his old review.

6something about perceived waiting time. two ways to reduce it. first, let the customers have something to do. eg. tv in waiting room or mirrors on elavator doors.

Writing

Independent:

Drivers should pay fees while driving during the time with the large amount of traffic.

intergraged:

Reading

 the sudden vanish of the A***azi people was caused by drought. first, period of global warming. Second, water shortage. Third, abruptness of the leaving.

Lecture:

the reading passage jumped to conculsion. First, tree rings didn't show sign of drought. Second, they had survived a document drought that lasting for 50 years, so they were capable to survive water shortage. Third, other reasons for sudden leaving, such as plague or war. Might be casued by coflicting with another group.

我也来加点吧。

speaking:

1. describe your favorite room and why.

2. conversation: student1 (male) is a director for one show... the main actor had bad temper and gonna quit the show rehearsal. so student1 told student2 his problem. he didn't know whether he himself took up the actor role or he could find someone else for that role.

question:describe the man's problem and discuss which solution you prefer.

3. lecture: definition of "demand" in economics. "demand" is the quantity of product that could be purchansed as certain price.  When the price becomes high, "demand" would drop. the lecturer then decribed two reasons for that.

4. about campus election. The reading part is a short annoucement on school newspaper, saying that the final result of election is to be delayed due to two irregularities during the voting process. Then you will hear two students discussed about the irregularities. The man said, there're no reason to delay the result because that two "irregularities" are actually reasonable. first, the voting site in the library was moved from 1st floor to the 2nd floor due to the overcrowded situation on the 1st floor. that was because some other community activity held at the same time there. so they had to move to the 2nd floor. second, the voting site in the cafe was closed 1 hour before 9pm because few people would go to cafe after 8pm.

5. 自由发挥：do you prefer to travel to the destination as early as possible or to travel slow there, enjoying the procedure...忘记咋说得了。我是说，我会选择直接到达的方式，因为我的目的地是旅游景点，而不是沿途风光。而且坐在飞机上也看不到外面。

awa:  1. M. 说明了中国人最先到达美国，然后有三个论据。听力部分，lecturer反驳了这个观点，并且把那三个论据都推翻了。　然后写作要求总结这个lecturer的观点和依据。

２　teacher should assign homework to students every day. agree or disagree?

听力：

有一道特别搞笑，是说考古类的，某个地方发现了鲨鱼的牙齿，但是那个部落的人是没有工具捕杀鲨鱼的，而且附近的部落也不可能有，离海都很远。问题是这个鲨鱼牙齿怎么来的。学生一个一个提了几种assumption, 然后教授提到了牙齿上面是natural erosion，没有撕斗痕迹。最后结论是，这个鲨鱼在吃猎物的时候，bite一口，把自己的牙齿给掉在猎物体内，猎物逃跑了，最后被人抓住，吃了，牙齿被挖出来保留了。

也想问一下楼主是在那个国家，当地时间几号什么时候考试的。估计和大陆13号早上的考试差不多一起进行的吧。
