阅读难句跟帖 ；顺带练习阅读、语法、逻辑和打字速度

鉴于阅读中经常出现难句，建议大家放松时把自己理解困难的或者感觉复杂的句子敲出来，进行跟帖，请有空的NN进行分析解答。

之所以强调敲，是为应付写作文时的速度。

另外，请大家尽量保证单词的准确性,就当是在写作文。

日积月累，积少成多，如果日后斑竹觉得有用，可以将此帖内容汇总，以利后来人。

我来抛砖引玉先，今日看到一篇阅读中的句子，暴长。

Snyder et al propose that caffeine, which is structurally similar to adenosine, is able to bind to both types of receptors, which prevens adenosine from

attaching there and allows the neurons to fire more readily than they otherwis would.

试做一分析，请指教：

that引导宾语从句，

两个which并列，

均指代caffeine---第一个没什么争议，

第二个which指代谁由其后两红色动词决定----本句难点所在，也是本篇阅读的难点。

为什么出现这种指代？以前从没见过！也不懂这句的语法规则。

为什么 propose用原形？Snyder et al 是人名阿！

总觉得不看懂不安心 因为不清楚哪些是属于可以略读或者不读的地方

但是看又容易混 怎么办？

引：首先生物文章有一堆的生物或基因专有名词，一定马上首字母提炼，否则会被搞死．另外，这些东东之间有一种数量上的联系和表面的表现．要掌握住数量上的比例关系，即A高－＞B低－＞C不变，这很重要，选项就是靠这个绕你，至于导致高低的过程，屁没有用没有，ETS就知道把过程描述的复杂复杂的，重复罗嗦的，绕的你连数量关系都看不出．
        

正文：

巧了，今天竟然误打误撞，做那篇的时候也在那里画了这个——所谓的“A高－＞B低－＞C不变”，看来还真很重要。

首字母提炼是一定要的。

至于阅读，建议你以读懂为主，不要过分强调方法。跳读最多节约 1 min，定位准确，马上就能补回来。

（BTW，大多数长文章我在 5 min之内读完，多数情况是不到4min）你看看自己读完需时多久，会慢慢的心里有底。

另外，现在的考试文章有变短趋势，一字不拉也能做完——我是二战，有此体会。

还有，若你心里素质好，还可看看阅读jj，不过请一定慎重。

这句子有谓语吗？我怎么看不出来啊？

    书上的讲解如下:

【析句】
                                本句的主干是voices now come from many quarters，现在分词短语insisting作伴随状语，后面是两个以that引导的宾语从句，其中第二个宾语从句还包含以until引导的时间状语从句。

【讲词】 quarters表示“住处，角落”。from many quarters等于from many places。living quarters表示“生活区”。

for sure 意为“确定地，确切地”。I know for sure that he must have done something terrible. 我敢肯定他一定做了什么天大的坏事。）No one knows for sure what happened to Bill. （没有人确切知道比尔出了什么事。）

【译文】
                                就同吸烟问题一样，来自许多领域的声音坚持认为有关全球变暖的科学研究还不完整，在我们确定此事之前向大气中继续排放废气是没问题的。

主语，voices,

谓语，come from

宾语，many qarters

insisting 修饰主语，两个that并列，相当于 insisting的宾语。或理解成insisting的同位语。

若用GMAT语法，感觉主语前加 so 就完美了。

正常理解中，是有缺谓语的感觉，但insisting是分词，不能做谓语，只有come可做了，成分齐全，读起来有点拗口而已。
