I am currently in Cornell's AMBA program (renamed from TMO) and would be happy to discuss the options with you(yx49@cornell.edu). Finance industry has a wide variety of jobs, and i am not sure what exactly do you want to do. If you want to target investment banking or sales & trading, you'd better go for the 2 year program and leverage the intern. If you want to do corporate finance, I think 1 year should be sufficient.

Is there any chance to find a MC or IB position in HK with TMO degree?

I got offers from a few MC firms and will probably choose to go to HK or SH. On the other hand, if you do not have finance background, getting into IB will be very challenging.
