where引导状语从句修饰homes?这样是不是存在一个逻辑上的问题，就是homes有部分（less than one percent of homes)在用电了，而仍然用candles or gas的只是一部分。是否有矛盾？

这道题想了好半天，还是错了。E为什么不对，where修饰home也说得过去呀？

A. electricity was in less than one percent of homes, where lighting was still 变成electricity was in homes好像不通吧？

无生命的东西，应该用there be表示存在？ 还是用have/has?本来还想选C，但是该死的being.

这题的确麻烦。选A除非原句意思本来就是说， 即使那些1%有electricity的家庭也还是主要依靠gas和candle提供光。。。

我做的时候根据where修饰排除c,e， 根据having light既不能做定语修饰electricity,又不能做伴随状语修饰主句，排除d，在a,b间根据意思排除了a， 认为b选项and后面是平行结构的谓语动词省略，所以省略系动词。

看来句意的把握还是最难的。。。

现在已经明白E为何错了，即使没有where的修饰问题，它的had still been 这个过去完成时也完蛋。

但是，我觉得A 。。在下次实战时，类似的问题我可能还是无法选对，所以想问问大家的解题思路。

应该先根据什么排除什么？然后一确定就是A? 请赐教啊！
