Hello, I have one question here,

I am assigned to on-campus apartment and housing officer tell me I can move in in advance before the contract effect. Now the problem is the bed. As apartment has no furniture, if I want to move in once I arrive IU (at late night). How can I purchase the bed and beddings? Which store will you recommend? Can I ask the store to ship to my apartment before I arrive?

 I may settle the problem of bed for temporary usage. Can any alumni recommend some store to buy bed or bedding? Usually, we will buy other furniture in ONestart？

Onestart is the best way to buy your furniture. New furniture in stores is much more expensive. You may or may not pay extra fees for shipping.

For the first night, it's hard not to sleep on the ground. Is that right, hylrd?

Recently, we receive a package regarding how to become a member of the MBAA (clubs, social events). I'd like to know how you pay the fees before? It only says by check? So we cannot transfer by credit card or some way else? If by check, then what kind of check?

Hehe, that's your own decision. Unless you can find someone to buy a bed for you in advance, you may have to sleep on the floor since you will come at night.

I think you will pay the fee once for the whole two years by personal check. You will get your check book when you open an account in US.

Tks, Olivia, but the problem is it says we should mail our decision together with the check before July 16, and we even havn't arrived IU at that time.

i do not have any suggestion about that, since it is so easy to handle - you will see after you come here.

but if you do have some time now, i think you can enjoy the last few days in china, coz it will never come back again. after that, if you still have some time to waste, you'd better polish your english again and think over your career plan. i am not kidding. the latter on is most important thing you have to handle.
