请问EITHER OF STH后谓语是单数还是复数? I SAW:
Are either of these two things violations of the NAR code?
AND
either of these devices results in more people watching more television

usually take a singular verb in formal writing.
In speech, however, a  plural verb is often used, and this is quite acceptable.

Sbbi, whether this sentence is in Written English or in oral English? If it is in written English,  I also do not understand the reason why "are"  is used?      I agree with solome, but.........?

Even though it is the title of an article in American English, there is no evidence to show it is 100% right ?!

either with singular or plural verb.  When used as a pronoun, either is normally singular and takes a singular verb: The two surgeons disagree with each other more than either does (not do) with the pathologist. But when either is followed by of and a plural noun, it is often used with a plural verb: Either of the parties have enough support to form a government. As frequent as this usage may be, it is widely regarded as incorrect. Ninety-two percent of the Usage Panel rejected it in an earlier survey.
