这里的平行部分是the purchase price, the cost of improvement and any additional amount。A用不定时表示目的是非常合适的。E中，以borrowed against分词来修饰payment是不合适的，for也不如不定式准确。

intended是过去分词用来修饰portfolios。

borrow against应该是抵押贷款的意思吧，没有查到过确切的意思，根据上下文的意思我是这样理解的。一般查到的句子是borrow against equity/accounts receivable, etc..所以抵押所得的金额应该是amount borrowed against，指的是抵押所得的金额。用D的话，expenses that were borrowed against the home，这个修饰不知何意。

anyway,抛开borrow against的用法，D，E中的payment和expenses是有含义上的重复的。
