但还有一问题：为何原文中用了the incentive for pirating? 这里不能讲pirating是incentive 的用途吧？

再者，经查朗文电子词典，incentive若要表目的，不用for, 而用incentive to do sth:

Farmers lack any incentive to manage their land organically.

同时朗文语法讲，部分名词要求不定式作修饰限制成分，如desire, need，wish等，如：I have a desire to defeat them. 请问这又如何解释incentive for doing sth？

我觉得c中得for doing是表原因，如果说for sth，翻译成为了sth，也可以理解成原因。

仔细看看意思，the reduction of software price for decreasing 有两个意思

一是price是用来降低。。而是reduction是用来降低。。。产生歧义

suggest somebody/something for something
John Roberts has been suggested for the post of manager.

因此，如果用suggest the reduction of software prices for decreasing，句子的意思就变成 the reduction of software prices is suitable for decreasing,  因此og说creates some difficulty in meaning.

我覺得這裡的for 是指目的

pirating 是含有動作意識的名詞

並不是加上ing 的分詞

所以符合for +N 表目的的用法

however 如果pirating 後面有受詞 我想這時才是分詞 就不能用for 應該用to do

不知道這樣的想法對不對
