Stanford在三番以南三四十英里，距离LA四百英里左右。Stanford到LA开车至少要5个小时，我更建议你坐飞机（1小时左右）。

我个人觉得参观学校的意义不一定很大。不过这种事情见仁见智。

On average I can get 7 hours of sleep every night. I personally don't think this is a big problem because most people are in control of their own schedule. I know people who get 8 hours of sleep every night.

According to the website, the range of working experience is 0-12 years, which means there are people who are around 35 years old.

首先，本科后进入咨询的人在工作两三年之后读MBA几乎是唯一的选择，所以咨询背景的申请人基数自然很大

其次，多数咨询背景的申请人本来就很优秀（本科或研究生以后想进入好的咨询公司难度是很大的），所以这个群体的录取比例高也很正常

另外，咨询的工作经验可写的东西相对也多一些，至少从写申请文章角度来讲

最后，咨询的环境使申请者有很多普通人没有的信息和资源（公司的支持，同事的经验，等等）

还有，Stanford class 09中有17%的人来自咨询，这个数字似乎也不能算太高吧。

我发现有些学校在传统的两年制 MBA 以外，还提供一年制的。这两种长度不同的 program 的教育质量和圈内的认可程度有区别么？

PS: 实在不好意思，也在另一帖中也提了这个问题，因为离 final decision 只有两三天时间了，着急啊~

说实话我的确没概念。认可程度需要看什么类型的公司：对MBA很熟悉的公司可能会有不同的看法；对于MBA不熟悉的公司可能不会有任何不同。教育质量就更见仁见智了，质量的判断太主观，说些客观的区别吧：

1）课程，一年制的课程肯定要少一些。

2）实习，一年制应该不会有暑期实习。

3）交往，和同学的交往时间要少一些（总时间短，而且可能更忙）

4）课外活动，同（3）

从经济学角度来讲，如果一年制的质量和二年制没有任何区别那人们为什么要去上二年制？所以在我看来关键不是哪个质量好，关键是哪个更适合你。我上边列了4条，这4条仅仅是千千万万读MBA原因中的4条，如果它们对你来说可能重要也可能不重要，只有你自己知道。
