Hi all, I am seeking some advices from you regarding my PhD application.

I hold a Master in Applied Economy from FUDAN University and a Bachelor in Business Administration from XIAMEN University. Between my two degrees, I worked in an Marketing company for 1.5 years. Now I am a Research Assistant (in Marketing) at a business school.
My other information is:
  GMAT = 720 + 5.0
  TOEFL = 617 + 4.0
  Graduate GDP = 3.7 with scholarship;  Undergraduate GPA = 3.2 (Top 15%) with scholarships
  2 journal papers (international magt.) + 1 case (in English)
  Teaching Assistant for Marketing, Customer-driven Marketing and Cross-cultural Management.

My interest is Marketing (focus on psychology).
I think it is relatively easy for me to talk about my interest in research, however, it is hard for me to talk about why consumer psychology. To link my past study and interest, it seems to me that modeling is the only option.

Do you have any suggestion for me? For PS writing, is it necessary for me to specify my research interest? And I do not know what '套词' for since I do not know which professor I am going to work with. What are your views.

I do not think you will have any problem. Your backgrounds look almost perfect.Just apply and go through the process. As to contacting relevant professors, just do it normally. Telling them that you are interested in their research and..... Good luck!

Sorry H635635, my abbreviation misleads you. I mean 2 papers in international management area.

well, pick the school u wanna go and check the information of marketing faculty. read their interests and contact them

ur background is pretty strong, exam scores are fine too, but remember what u try to compete is many local applicants (American or Canadian), so my advice is '套词'is important to ur case, u can combine what u think of marketing elements, don't be afraid to create some new research idea, they will love it.
