Thx Stella !!! Just did GWD -- CD 8... A word "crazy"...HELP !!! My problem is as follows: I felt faint after 40mins of the test... i guess i would definitely fall down if i conduct the actual mock test including AWA and maths !! Overtime 15mins... had a feeling of very faint at the end of the test !! couldn't concentrate at the end.... A bit improvement wrong 10 but 15mins overtime !!! SC-3, RC --5, CR---2.... RC ---completely faint !! i guess i need to improve my concentration by reading the RC passage in a non-stop manner for over 2 hours without gaining the feeling of faint !!! TRAIN IT EVERYDAY !!! i couldn't think of any other ways... HELP!! Then my accuracy can improve !!! To be honest, my head was really faint when i started to read about the third passage not to mention the fourth passage !!! just back home... oh.. watch TV as usual... suddenly forget that i have to continue for GMAT revision !!! Hence... get back to CD and continue for the GMAT.... Yeah.. get some review for CD8 !! 26 Sept 06 Tonight, i basically will review the RC questions regarding the method asking and how to effectively find out the answers... i have a feel that most of the GWD---RC questions are related to structures, author attitude and "in order to " questions !!! some related to details questions... 27 Sept 06 didn't do much last night, went for a drink with friend, we discussed about our future career path... seems that there are still lots of opportunities around the world and i have to cherish my opportunities to get the GMAT done and apply for the B-School !!! World is chaning, Hong Kong is changing and my mindset is changing as well. ... today... i plan to continue to improve my reading speed, reading feeling as well as continue to revise previous GWD RC+CR, also reading for the SC sentences to get the feel !!! after that, i would try GWD 9 !!! In fact, feel a bit tired today!! don't know why !!! do some exercise when have time !!!..... i found reading the CR (just for quesitons) is quite useful... for one thing, the paragraph is short, for other thing, it improves my reading speed and learning how to capture and remember a short parapgraph in my mind without writing in the paper... it helps out for the RC improvement !!! God Bless !!! Add oil !! last night, i tried to summarize all the GWD RC question types that would be likely to come out in the real test !!! it seems that it requires a lot of speed and consistency... i will try to review all the GWD questions for GWD CR+RC what i did before ... CD1-8 and get a feel what it is about and do CD9 tonight... continuous review what i did is pretty important !!!!!!! for the past few days, i have been reading a lot of CR+RC and get the feel that in the ultimate exams .. only feel can help u out for the last ten questions in which i guess i have less than 15mins to do the last 10 questions and the feel would definitely the solution out of all. so i try my best to review and review for what i did for the past week ... so i plan to all the GWD by the end of this month and review for the "GWD classified" to get the final feel and then redo the GWD set in a one go... AWA+Maths+Verbal... continuous do SC questions per day to get the feel... even for the questions that have been done before... it is a good habit to keep on doing for all three parts... SC, CR and RC....the final stage is pretty important as it trains ur persistency throughout the 3 hours exams... !!! hopefully, i can do it... Suddenly, i realise one thing... is that if i lost the interest on one thing, no matter how much time u have, u still couldn't get hold of the study... so have to stick to the quality not the quantity... stick to health and efficiency !!!

some notes sent by one of the CDers. Consumers planning to buy recreational equipment tend to buy higher quality, more expensive equipment when the economy is strong than when it is weak. Hill and Dale is a business that sells high-quality, expensive camping and hiking equipment in Boravia. Although all the signs are that Boravia’s economy is now entering a period of sustained strength, the managers of the business do not expect a substantial increase in sales.
Which of the following, if true, would provide the strongest justification for the managers’ judgment? A. A significant proportion of Hill and Dale’s sales are made to customers who enter the store in order to buy one particular item but, once there, find other items to buy as well. B. In Boravia when the economy is strong, those who might otherwise go camping tend to take vacations overseas. C. The economic upturn is likely to allow Boravia’s nati- onal parks, where most of the camping and hiking is done, to receive extra funding to improve their visitor facilities. D. Advances in materials technology have led to the development of hiking and camping equipment that is more comfortable and lightweight than before. E. Many people in Boravia not only are committed to preserving the country’s wilderness areas but also are interested in spending some time in them.
have or have not (one thing) last sentence (no need remember) but it's a conclusion remember (noun) , remember action a sentence whether it is a whole meaning whether u get the sentence meaning at that point Thinking of scope !!! Ans choices--- that/which subordinate clause (take care for the whole meaning of the sentence) 3. content choice not relationship choice content is relevant not the relationship is relevant !! only remember for what the scope, not need to think, in scope---ans ! Educational Theorist: Recent editorials have called for limits on the amount of homework assigned to children. They point out that free-time activities play an important role in childhood development and that large amounts of homework reduce children's free time, hindering their development. But the average homework time for a ten year old, for example, is little more than 30 minutes per night. Clearly, therefore, there is no need to impose the limits these editorials are calling for.
Which of the following is an assumption on which the educational theorist's argument relies? A. The free-time activities that ten year olds engage in most are all approximately equally effective at fostering development effective issue B. Regularly doing homework assignments improves children's academic performance. assigment improves issue C. Individual teachers are not the best judges of how much homework to assign the children they teach judge issue D. In most schools, if not all, the homework assignments given are of a length that does not diverge widely from the average. subordinate clause... delete it... length (long or short issue) E. Free-time activities rarely teach children skills or information that they can use in their academic work. can or cannot use issue
