大龄考生的烦恼

今年32岁了，小孩都3岁，由于考虑以后找工作，打算再来考试gmat,今天给一个上海的小弟弟打电话，发现我们考试真的没有什么优势，人家一个月就考了760，我做了做og, 非常菜鸟的发现居然错一半， 我还能行吗。 自以为英语虽好的，特别是口语，但是考试能力一直不怎么样。博这个考试的东西，不知道到底是不是我这样的大龄考生的出路了，烦恼死了。

年龄也许和录取或将来找工作有关，但和考试绝对没有关系。比你年龄大的考生在CD上很多，32对考试而言绝对不大。你可以先好好总结一下OG的问题在哪里，然后有的放矢。如果你平常阅读还行，应该可以提高。Good luck!

对，尤其是Gmat这种考试，不是考记忆力的。

年龄的增长可能记忆力会下降但是智慧在增长，gmat我觉得更强调综合的思维。lz加油！

LZ, you are still young. I am already 34 years old. I have two children, 4 years old daughter and two years old son. I decided to take GMAT last month and will have the test next month.

I feel SC is very hard. Only got 55% when I worked on OG11.

LZ means LouZhu (I just leant recently). I am in North Carolina. Since I am working full time, also a part-time Graduate Student(take courses in the evening), I have no much time to allow me study longer. I hope I can get 700+, but who knows.

Where are you, hzvistor? When will you take the test.

Since you have been in US for a while, your RC probably is relatively good, but for SC you may need to brush up some basic grammar rules. At least this is my situation.

For SC, here's some suggestion: read all OG explanation carefully, at least a couple of times. This will cover most of the basics. After that, you'll see where your weakness lies. Then you can read a Chinese book such as 白勇's. You can focus on specific chapters related to your weakness.

For RC, you may not have achieved very low error rate now, but you should be confident that your "true" RC is relatively good. Learn a couple of tricks and you should get very good result in this section. I followed 新东方's GRE course in flash, but this site also has some other tips put together by some GMAT pioneers. I found these very helpful too.

Thank you for your helpful suggestions. I have only three weeks left before the test. I will focus on SC and AWA. I have no baiyong, only LZM, which one do you think is better?
